Traveling to Monaleen & U15s Match

Left Lucan Sarsfield this morning around 9am en route to Monaleen in Limerick. The boys entertained us on the bus with each giving three things they'd learnt about their billet on the microphone. The boys have enjoyed their first host family where they also got some washing done. We stopped at Crescent Shopping Centre in Limerick for lunch and shopping to fill in some time before tonight's game. Met our hosts at Monaleen GAA club at 4pm. The boys went home with their billets for a meal and we met them at the university grounds ground for the U15s match. The facilities are only 3 years old with a pavilion that has club room upstairs and several change rooms underneath. The fields are heavily booked out at 150 euro per hour per field. Hurling, soccer & rugby are also played there.
The game started at 7pm and was played in 12 minute quarters to be finished by 8pm. The boys started slowly in a hard fought game and worked back to use the round ball better. We kept Monaleen scoreless with the Sherrin in the last quarter and won the game by 2 points. Post game the boys returned to their billets. Presentations will be held at Monslesn club after tomorrows game.
