Hi to all. We are coming home. Today we spent our last day on tour at Citadel shopping outlets- as if we needed more shopping! Just kidding but it was fun. Then we had a site seeing trip around LA- from up high at the observatory, then down through Hollywood, sunset, and rodeo drive before making our way to Santa Monica Pier. From the staff on the trip - Bev, Georgie, Bacca and Dave, thank you and congratulations to all on tour for being excellent tourists.
Spent our last day at disneyland. A great day with friends celebrating being a wanderer. Highlight was the world of color display at 9pm.
A great day at universal studios followed by an entertaining NBA games between the clippers and the nuggets. Everyone tired and readying for Disneyland.
Today we played our final games on tour against our hosts at Moorpark. Under hot and clear conditions both games were played with enthusiasm and skill. The girls scored in the final short corner after the siren to clinch. 2-2 draw. The boys played their best hockey as a team to hold a state strong squad to 0-0.
Hi to all at home. After traveling the last days we have made it to California. Today we played at Moorpark with our boys valiant in their 3-1 loss. The girls won an evenly contested game 3-0. Tomorrow we play our last games on tour before hitting the LA highlights.
Leaving Victoria we again travelled by ferry across the beautiful waterways of BC. Our games against Falcons saw the boys record a first win 3-1 and our girls losing a close and entertaining gme late in the day 1-0. LA here we come!
Another beautiful day greeted our tour as we left Vancouver and journeyed across to Victoria. The ferry trip took in amazing scenery, water and coastline. Lunch at fisherman's wharf, feeding the sea lions and souvenir hunting, before our games against our hosts. The girls recorded their first win up 2-1 with both goals sublime efforts. The boys facing a side with some skillful Canadian reps went down 3-1 but played with great gusto.
Another warm and clear day greeted our group as we invaded Stanley Park. The bike riding was a blast with the park beautiful and open. Later we gathered for one of the real highlights - the NHL. In a thrilling overtime game the Canucks came from behind to win 2-1.
The weather has turned from cold and wet to warm and sunny as we spent the day site seeing on foot. We visited the Olympic cauldron down near the, international liner terminal, before returning to Gasworks for souvenirs. Tonight an early dinner and bed.
Hi Australia. Today we spent time at beautiful Lynn Canyon walking through the trees and across the long suspension bridge. Lunch at Lonsdale markets before we played our next game. Both games were quality games with girls losing 1-0 and boys drawing a big 1-1.
After a wonderful night with our hawk hosts we played our first tour games. In cold and bleak conditions both games were an exciting contest played with good spirit and friendship. Our girls lost a close match 3-2, whilst the boys lost 7-0. Afterwards we were treated to a fantastic dinner before returning with hosts for one last night.
