Day 16 - Battlefields / Paris

This morning we woke to a frosty morning in France -4

We met up with our Battlefield guide John at the Windmill monument just outside Pozieres

He then lead us through the history of World War 1 Battlefields in the Somme Region of Northern France where the Australians fought almost 95 years ago

We visited Hamel Beaumont which is a preserved battlefield

We then visited the Adelaide Cemetery

Our Battlefields tour finishes at Villers Brettoneoux, which on ANZAC Day 1918 was a scene of one Australia's most famous battles and victories

We checked into our hotel for the next two nights and headed out on the Metro Train to visit the Arc De Triomphe! We were lucky enough to be able to climb the stairs to the top and take in the view

We caught another train to the Eiffel Tower and saw the magical lights!

Memories that will last a lifetime
