Today we were greeted with snow in Vancouver as we started off with a walk to Gastown. Gastown is the oldest part of Vancouver and is home to many exclusive boutiques, souvenir shops and art galleries. It is also the home of the world famous Steam Clock, the first of its kind in the world.
From here we walked past Canada Place and its Orca Sculpture and on to Stanley Park. There we saw, squirrels, the girl in a wetsuit sculpture and a number of First Nations totem poles. after a lot of walking we caught a public bus back to our hotel where we were picked up and driven to Grouse Mountain.
After a ride up the Skyride gondola which carries around 50 people at a time the group got involved in a range of activities including ice skating, sledding and sleigh rides. Lots of fun was had by all and after dinner atop the mountain and a ride down the Skyride we headed back to our hotel for a well earned sleep. Tomorrow promises to be another big day.
