Update 2

Our teams have spent a couple of amazing days in Whistler with many seeing snow for the very first time.

Our next lot of matches were played this evening with unusually very crisp and clear conditions making it a little slippery under foot. Our boys recorded their first win of the tour whilst our 1st grade girls had a draw.

All are well and enjoying the tour and don’t forget to check out our Facebook and Instagram pages for more photos and updates.

Update 1

Well we have had a great first few days in Canada. We have had a look at the sights of the city including the amazing Granville Island market.

Tonight we have played our first matches on a very clear but freezing night on the local field...

Our boys had a close game going down 0-3 which included many under 18 and under 21 national team players. 2 of the goals were late in the second half when the boys were getting tired late after their long flight and jet lag.

Our girls 2nd grade fought really hard to get a pulsating draw. Well down to the girls !

With the temperature dropping and the pitch looking likely to freeze over, our first grade girls played an aggressive style of hockey to really take it to the local girls. Both teams played outstanding hockey and with a few moments remaining, we were able to slot in the winning goal. Great effort girls !

more highlights tomorrow as we prepare to attend the NHL I’ve hockey and skiing at whistler. For more updates stay tuned but also check out our Facebook and Instagram pages.
