The boys took on Queens College in their second match of the tour today. The rain from yesterday made the pitch a little sticky and so we decided to bowl first again and take advantage of the drying wicket when we batted later. Unfortunately we had some bad luck with two early wickets falling on no balls. Those two went on the make a partnership of 100 and put us behind the eight ball. The boys soldiered on and took a further five wickets but couldn’t stop Queens from making a total of 211 from 35 overs. Ben Cole and Ryan Orwin both took 2 wickets.
After a promising start, moving to 1 for 56 lead by a quick fire 31 from Riley Liddelow we suffered a major collapse and despite a late rear guard action from Ryan Irwin (20 runs) we were only able to amass a total of 122.
A day off for some sightseeing and recovery before our next game against Foundations School.
