On the road heading for Listowel. Travelled through Kilarney and visited Ross Castle where we broke into two groups for a tour of the castle. Continued on our way through Castlemaine then onto to Dingle stopping at Inch (a beachside spot on the Atlantic ocean) where some put a foot in the chilly ocean and a lunch stop in Dingle.
Arrived in Listowel at Frank Sheehy Park (the home of Tadhg Kennelly). The boys had a kick of the footy and it was soon game time. Again the Irish beat us with the round ball, 37-27 after three quarters. We are improving how we kick the ball. We used the Sherrin in the fourth quarter, which Wanderers won and the final score was a 51-40 win to Wanderers.
Our Captain for the game, Michael Kerrigan, presented Listowel with gifts and the match Sherrin as a thank you for hosting us. The post game refreshments were well received and the boys departed with their billets for the night.
Tuesday 4/10 - Met the boys in Listowel at 8.00am and travelled through Kanturk in Co. Cork on way to Blarney. We stopped at Blarney to visit the Blarney Castle and kiss the Blarney Stone at the top follwed by lunch and a bit of shopping. Arrived at Good Counsel College in New Ross, Co. Wexford (our next hosts) for the boys to be billeted with the players families and look forward to the game tomorrow afternoon.
