Match 2

Welcome to our next update from Warwick where the weather dropped unusually into the minuses for our next game of the tour

Our 2nd grade girls kicked off proceedings with a gutsy draw and they played very well against some enthusiastic opposition

Our first grade fuels recorded their first win of the tour and played some great hockey with some tight defence and starting to link passes through the midfield

Our boys built on the previous nights win with another victory today. Some of our boys were challenged to play in different positions and scenarios throughout the game and it was great to see them respond so well

Our hosts today went absolutely above and beyond where our guys mixed in with the locals and a great dinner was followed by a photo booth with lost of funny pics and presentation of medals to our players from our hosts. Thanks to all involved.

Match 1

Greetings from London where we have just had our first games of the tour

Some of our girls got to meet some of the players from the club who recently player for England at the World Cup which was a great thrill for them

Both girls teams went down against exceptional opposition including some junior national players 0-3 but it was a great effort considering it’s our first game together.

Our boys had a good preparation and despite having the better of the play, went down early on the break 0-1, but they composed themselves and scored 3 superb goals to lead 3-1 with 5 minutes remaining before Surbiton hit back with a great piece of individual skill to make it 3-2....which ended up being the final score. A magnificent effort from all the boys.

More updates soon !

Arrived into London

IMAGE.JPG

After a few hours delay in Singapore our flight caught up time and we arrived into London only 30 minutes late to a rather mild day with the temperatures in double figures.

With large crowds for the New Years Day parade building it was London on foot, seeing many of the major sights including the Palace, Westminster  Abbey and Piccadilly Circus.

More updates in the next couple of days. All are well and looking forward to an exciting tour. For more photos be sure to check out our Facebook and Instagram pages....
